Afarak is an emerging producer of chrome, whose specialty products are sold to steel and stainless steel producers. The company utilizes modern production technology and aims for long-term growth. Its stock is listed on NASDAQ OMX Helsinki (AFAGR) and the London Stock Exchange (AFRK).
The Group's chrome business consists of two segments. Speciality Alloys includes the Turkish mining operations (TMS) and the German processing plant (EWW). The FerroAlloys segment includes the Stellite mine, the Mecklenburg mine, and the Mogale Alloys processing plant in South Africa.
Through its sales and marketing company RCS, a wide range of chrome products is sold to international customers in the automotive, aerospace, and power plant industries for use in the production of steel and stainless steel. Afarak also exports raw ore directly to the Chinese market.
